With spring almost in sight, there’s no better time than now to take action against clutter. It doesn’t have to be a major operation – ordering a single drawer can restore a sense of order, but once you start, you’ll want to continue. So how do you rank and where to start? Organization is key. Keep things together that should be together and use baskets or containers to store them neatly.
1. Entrance and hall
Problem: Shoes, coats, bags, and umbrellas can make the entrance to your home cluttered and cluttered.
Solution: Install a wall unit to free up floor space, put on coat racks, and add a shoe rack and boxes. Umbrella holders also add a great decorative touch, as well as being practical.
2. Bathroom
Problem: General disorder in one of the most used rooms in the house.
Solution: Store your products in an attractive way and hide unsightly bath toys, replacement toilet paper rolls and cleaning fluids in a four-drawer unit. Keep spare towels on a high shelf so they don’t get mixed up with towels in use. Fold clean towels in half and roll, then stack with swirls on display for a stylish home hotel.
3. Kitchen
Problem: Family kitchens become the landfill for mail, the contents of school bags, and shopping bags, so keeping work surfaces clear is a challenge.
Solution: Try to order items as they come into action, container or file. Hang a rail with butcher hooks on a wall to keep utensils off surfaces. Kitchens often don’t have room for all of the town hall’s recycling bins, so try using plastic bins in cupboards for recyclables, which you empty when full.
4. Children’s bedrooms
Problem: Children’s toys take up valuable floor space and the room can become chaotic if the toys are not stored properly.
Solution: If your children have a lot of soft toys that they don’t use regularly, consider placing them high up to gain more floor space; a toy net like a pop-up or shelves are good solutions. You can also consider a seat storage box, which is perfect for large toys and doubles as a nightstand or stool.
5. Service area
Problem: Too many dirty clothes.
Solution: Laundry baskets are essential, but they take up space when not in use. Try the collapsible laundry bags, which are perfect as a replacement for busy laundry days and can slide down the side of the machine when not in use. Keep a small laundry basket both downstairs and upstairs. It can help organize your laundry.
