I love the golden hour. The first hour of the day. It is a magical time. I can achieve so many things. My energy and creativity are at an all time high. I find that getting up early sets the tone for the perfect day. Start good, end good. 6 reasons why I love waking up early:
1 – I am competitive and I feel that it gives me a competitive advantage. Lots of people fall asleep. I don’t. So I am able to win.
2 – I like to exercise first thing in the morning. Exercising adds to my “awakening”. And being in shape supports my goals.
3 – Impulse. Waking up early gives me a big boost. If I start the day productive, I tend to continue that way.
4 – It’s quiet and I get a few interruptions early in the morning so I can get a lot more done. It also allows for “private” time to reflect.
5 – I save time knowing that it is a precious time of high creativity. I try to avoid mundane tasks and save time for exercise or jobs that require a lot of creativity (like writing this article).
6 – I like to do the worst first thing in the morning. If I get up early, I can finish one of the tasks I want to do. This habit has helped me a lot in my success.
Some tricks I use to help me get up early:
1 – Go to bed early. OK, so I’m not very good at this, but I certainly find this helps.
2 – Sometimes I drink a tall glass of water before going to bed. This makes me wake up early.
3 – I leave the window blinds ajar. I love waking up to natural light.
4 – Solve. I tell myself the night before that I’m going to get up early. I even put myself in mind what time it will be. I rarely set an alarm clock.
5 – When I wake up, I get up. There is no point in lying in bed. Getting up early is one of my success habits. We are the product of what we do repeatedly, and getting up early is a habit worth cultivating. Enjoy the golden hour!
Enjoy your golden hour in the morning, or better yet, make it last for over an hour.
