If you’re not a pro at branding, chances are you’re going to make mistakes.
But by asking yourself the following questions about your brand, you may be able to correct those mistakes and come up with something better than before.
1. Is your idea original?
What is a quality resort brand? – An original representation of your Resort. It is not like this?
So ask yourself this question: ‘Have you copied someone else’s idea?’ Your brand should be unique and different from the others. It must not resemble any other business icon in any way. Most of us use software and creators to make our brands, which is a terrible mistake. It is the first thing that is responsible for stealing the originality element of your brand. It is better if you hire a professional.
2. What message does your company icon convey to customers?
Your design must be able to communicate well with customers. You should be able to clearly tell what services your resort is providing. The business icon should guide viewers to the right path. The client must be able to understand its true meaning.
The client should not end up saying, ‘What does that mean?’
3. Is your design simple or too complicated?
Choose simple designs, because they are easy to understand. Overly complicated designs irritate the viewer, because they are unable to understand it. The resort business icon is simple, yet elegant. They have class and style.
4. Have you used Clip-Arts?
Using clip art in design is a complete no-no. This gives the feeling of laziness, because someone who is very lazy would use a ready-made piece of art for something that is so important. This should not happen if you are creating a trusted brand.
5. Does your symbol look good, despite the medium?
Your symbol design should be such that it looks suitable in all mediums. Whether it’s billboards, business cards, or t-shirts, wherever it’s printed, it should look like it was made to be there.
6. Have you overdone your symbol with too much abstract?
Although the abstract looks good in the brand, overuse makes the symbol look very vulgar and cluttered. It blocks the true meaning of the brand, making it ambiguous.
7. How many colors have you used?
Don’t use too many colors. A combination of maximum three or four colors is the outstanding option.
8. How many fonts have you used?
Try and use as few fonts as possible. It is suggested that you use only one font. Too many fonts will make it difficult for the client to interpret the meaning.
9. Can you read your emblem?
Your emblem should be easy to read. Using unclear fonts will make it unreadable and prevent the reader from reading the message being conveyed.
10. Does your emblem justify your personality?
The emblem should complement your personification and character. Must communicate strict business to customer.
Resort owners often make these mistakes in their designs. But now you can be sure that you have perfected your quality hotel logo in every possible way. All of these errors can be easily pointed out and corrected. Make sure you have created the outstanding advertising icon in the industry.
