A resume cover letter is an important part of the job application. It is the job applicant’s responsibility to carefully craft a resume and cover letter that will convey a positive message to the hiring manager regarding the job applicant’s qualification, experience, and skills.
One of the main reasons for writing a cover letter is that you should force the hiring manager to call the job applicant for an interview and move on. In a way, it is a short “sales letter” in which the job seeker describes his or her eligibility for available work.
In this article we focus on how to conclude a resume cover letter. Here are some examples to consider:
Possible sentences in the last paragraph:
* I look forward to the opportunity to have an interview soon.
* I look forward to speaking with you about this job opportunity.
* I look forward to an interview and I hope to hear from you as soon as possible.
* I am available for a personal interview at your convenience.
* I hope to schedule a personal interview at a time convenient for both of you.
* You can contact me on my phone number 900-000-0000 or email me at emailaddress (at) emailprovider.com
* Please review the attached resume and consider my application for the job.
* It would be an honor to work for your company.
* I will contact you next week to know the status of my application.
* Thanks for your time and consideration.
* Thanks for your consideration.
Example of closing words just before signing:
* Greetings, Best regards, Sincerely, Sincerely, Sincerely, Sincerely.
Signature related tips:
* Under the final words, write the name of the job applicant and leave enough space for a signature above it.
* When sending cover letter via regular mail sign with blue ink pen, if faxing please sign with black ink pen and when emailing write your full name.
Enclosures:
* You can add “Attachment or Attachments” to the cover letter, usually it is the resume. For example: Attachment: Resume
* Other attachments could include: copy of work experience certificate, copy of reference letters, etc.
