Spring break is just around the corner and millions of students across the country are ready for the big party. The hardest part of vacation is deciding where to go. This is mainly due to the lack of money for most of the people. For those lucky enough to have generous parents, Cancun or Cabo are always top of the list. I mean, who wouldn’t want to party on the beaches of Mexico? They’re beautiful, and MTV usually spices things up even more by bringing some great entertainment to add to the festivities. Although Cancun may be the most popular place to go, there are many other great places to party during spring break, and some of them are hundreds of miles from the beach. Here’s a list of the top spring break destinations in no particular order.
• Cancun, Mexico-Duh!!! Beautiful beaches and beautiful people party here every year. However, most cannot remember the adventure once they return to the United States.
• South Beach: Florida’s most famous beach is packed with celebrities and students from all over the country all week long.
• Daytona Beach – Daytona is home to many major events including the Daytona 500, Daytona Bike Rally and of course Spring Break.
• South Padre Island: Texas stands out from other top destinations thanks to South Padre’s pristine waters and white sands. With Mexico right next door, this only adds to the appeal of this destination.
• Breckenridge, Colorado – Many spring breakers are happier on the slopes than the beach, and Colorado has some of the best snow skiing in the world.
• Taos, New Mexico: Taos is another popular spring break destination for snow skiers. Being closer to Texas than the foothills of Colorado, many from the Lone Star State choose to head to Taos.
• Panama City, Florida – Get up close with the world’s largest nightclub and the most beautiful beaches that are literate throughout the state, Panama becomes popular every year.
No matter where you choose to go, just remember to be careful and use a designated driver. If you are traveling to a foreign country, remember that you do not have the security that you do in the United States, and never go anywhere alone. Party in progress!!!
