Are you a blogger looking for why your monetized blog isn’t making money? You must have read an article or two or 100 to find my little article on the subject.
Scrolling through pages and pages, you must have seen the massive advertisements on how to take online surveys to earn money from home. You may have seen screenshots showing how much that person earned in the previous month.
Or have you found more articles on how to make money writing articles?
These ways are great income generators, but they are not ‘quick’ ways to make money like many websites make it seem.
We need to talk about the first one because everyone wants to make money in their sleep with their blog. This of course is possible! I will not deny you that fact. However, you should start at the beginning by reading and learning about different techniques that people use and why. You will have to spend many hours reading the information out there because there is so much. Then get ready to edit your little blog to input your newly found keywords. Then more editing. Your posts will need to be converted into articles to submit to various article databases in order to build the huge amount of backlinks you need to gather traffic. All this requires a lot of time, education and effort. Then having to do it all many times with many blogs or websites to make your goal is enough.
Online survey ads are everywhere and recommendations are high even from the gurus. You can make money by answering dumb questions. 50 cents at a time. The risks are that you’re taking the 10 minutes to take a survey only to end up being asked for your cell phone number. Filtering through surveys that don’t want to spam your phone is frustrating. Think about it for a second, a survey takes about 10 minutes to complete for 0.50 cents. $3.00 an hour is embarrassing. The advantage is that you can earn a few dollars by answering questions without thinking if you would be the person who would dance on the table or on the flower on the wall.
Writing reviews and articles are also a good source of income from home. If you are a good writer with a lot of opinions, writing would be the best thing for you. There are hundreds of places where you can post your article to generate backlinks. You can even select a few who are interested in what you are saying. Some places allow you to monetize your article. However, writing is time consuming and the money you can potentially earn is not that much per hour at first. Not to say that writing articles isn’t a way to earn a decent income, just know that your online reputation as an “authority” takes time to build. Checks flowing through your mail slot will not clear immediately.
The three ways I have mentioned take a lot of time. The time you need to take to earn money online is what you need to consider. Earning money from home through online surveys, blogging, and writing articles can take months before you can proudly show your spouse your checks or gladly answer the phone when the creditor calls.
If you want to make money from home through your blog, you need to realize that your new business can take as much time out of your life as working away from home. In fact, if you want to make money faster than most, don’t listen to those who say you can do it part-time.
I would recommend considering working from home over the internet as your new job. With any job, you need to consider some aspects of how it will affect your life and the lives of those around you.
I wish I caught you before you started. Before you start ask yourself these questions:
one. What do you do during the day? If you do a lot of volunteer work or if you already have a job, you may want to consider your internet job part-time.
two. Are you able to give something up to do the work you want to do? You may need to consider what is important in your life. You may not have enough free time to work on your computer.
3. Are there other members in your house willing to support your projects? Your family may think you’re crazy and for the most part they’re right. Making money online is highly competitive, however, the only drawback is that your search can end up being a huge waste of time. Are family members willing to give up something so you can work (usually time with you or cutting back on computer time)? Talk honestly with your family members about your ideas, your plans, goals and thoughts.
Four. Are you able to discipline yourself to do the work you need to do? Imagine not having a boss. Imagine being accountable to no one but yourself. Sounds great, I bet! Most people ‘slack off’ or don’t do as much as they originally expected.
5. Did you set a goal? Always an excellent idea for any new company! A goal is a great incentive to do the work you need to do, it can even be better than a boss.
6. How much time can you realistically give to achieve your goals? Try to find a time frame to reach your goal and if you don’t, that’s okay. If nothing is risked, nothing is gained, right? You are putting in the amount of work you need and you are just learning like me.
If you can spend the time trying to earn money from home and you have the support of your family, then go for it!
You have nothing to lose and a few pennies in your pocket to win.
